Steps to Wellness, Vermont

Steps to Wellness is a medically based rehabilitation program that serves the unique needs of Cancer Survivors. The program includes a physical therapy evaluation, medical assessment, individualized exercise prescription, and education. There are multiple phases of rehabilitation based on your needs. You can receive individualized Oncology/Hematology rehabilitation services and recommendations for exercise at different stages through your cancer survivor journey.

The Steps to Wellness program is a partner with Survivorship NOW.


PT360 Survive and Thrive Program

In the interest of full disclosure, PT360 is a cooperative physical therapy practice in Williston, Vermont, that has a survive-and thrive program for cancer patients. PT306 is one of Survivorship NOW’s sponsors.

Cancer Patient Support Program News and Event

The Cancer Patient Support Program (CPS) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to offering cost free comprehensive supportive services to cancer patients and their families throughout Vermont and upstate New York. The creation of this program was inspired by the desire of cancer survivors and other dedicated members of the community to be that essential helping hand for the patient and their family when facing a cancer diagnosis.

Hope on the Rise

June, 2012 Retreat

Hope on the Rise works to create life experiences for women who have had a diagnosis of  breast cancer. By teaching the art and “zen” of fly fishing, we help women find renewal and healing. Our goal is to help women find support and hope in new friendships, new adventures, and in the bounty and beauty of nature

Vermont Cancer Survivor Network

The Vermont Cancer Survivor Network has created Peer Support For All Those Touched By Cancer called Kindred Connections. From diagnosis through treatment and beyond. they are an organization of trained and compassionate members available to those whose lives are affected by cancer. Their goal is to provide support. Call Kindred Connections at 800-652-5064. Kindred Connections has 4 locally active groups of trained survivors available to offer support to others going through the cancer experience.

Commonweal Cancer Help Program

The Commonweal Cancer Help Program (CCHP) is a week-long retreat for people with cancer. Our goal is to help participants live better and, where possible, longer lives. The Cancer Help Program addresses the unmet needs of people with cancer. These include finding balanced information on choices in healing, mainstream and complementary therapies; exploring emotional and spiritual dimensions of cancer; discovering that illness can sometimes lead to a richer and fuller life; and experiencing genuine community with others facing a cancer diagnosis.
