Qigong is an ancient Chinese art of creating health by combining visualization, meditation, movement and breath. This class will combine physical and energetic alignments with soft and gentle movements.
Leader: Arthur Makaris
Credentials: Arthur has been practicing qigong for over 35 years. He is a master of Chinese martial arts, an acupuncturist and a Chinese medical herbalist. His studies in East Asian philosophy, martial arts and qigong began in 1973. Arthur is a 1980 graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture with advanced studies in China. He is a member of the adjunct staff in the Department of Family Practice at the University of Vermont School of Medicine and the first acupuncturist to obtain working privileges at Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington, Vermont.
