No one should face cancer alone. In fact, studies have shown that cancer survivors that connect with a support group can extend their life expectancy. There is much benefit from connecting with people who understand your cancer experience and share your worries, fears, and challenges. Family and friends often are the initial support for cancer survivors. As the journey continues, though, many survivors find it helpful to seek out people with a common experience and bright outlook to encourage and support them.
“The cancer experience can be isolating. Reach out and connect with other cancer survivors that have walked down the road before you. They understand what you are going through.“
